We’ve all heard the story of the frog who never jumps out of his well - and when he listens to another frog who has been in an ocean, he calls him a liar when he hears his stories.
Because he is sure that THIS IS HOW IT IS.
I’ve recently been to Raiwala, Uttarkhand, for a random trip.
Long story short, I wanted to learn a lot - and so did I.
I’ve actually met people who were doing the work I wish to do someday. Apart from the invaluable learnings I got from them as to how I can join their league someday, I understood there’s so much more to reality than our imagination makes it to be.
The other thing I get to knew was my mind patterns.
How I was behaving and living in very obvious loops.
Thanks to my mentor Devansh Bhaiya.
This whole incident fundamentally changed my mindset, career perspective, and it also broke my heart.
There will be few people in this world who will tell you the truth irrespective of how hard it is to tell you that.
Having said that, it sucks to be heartbroken. It’s like being hit by a tight slap that wounded deep in your skin.
You may need considerable healing before you can move on with your life.
But what makes me feel empowered is the determination that I am never going to take myself too seriously. Because I know I can’t know beyond a limit even if I tried.
What we know is a drop, and what we don’t know is an ocean.
- Dark (Google it)
The fact that I don’t know - and I can’t ever fully know.
Because the knowledge is infinite.
Anyways, if there’s one takeaway I wish upon everyone, it must be: get out of your well.
As fast as you can.
Have wild experiences. Learn from them.
And keep putting effort into what you want to achieve.
But do not be afraid to fundamentally change how you see your goals and yourselves, given that it’s what reality demands.
That’s called Iteration.
Note: This advice is for the people who are creating their own career and life paths. Who sees life as entrepreneurship.
It is NOT for people who are going to give exams and are walking on tried & tested conventional paths.
However it is important to know that this advice goes beyond your career journey, you might just want to break out of your bubble and get closer to reality for taking better decisions and doing better work.
In that case, by all means, make the most out of this advice.
Also, I’m not sure if any questions are there in your mind, so ask them away.
I’m beyond the mindset of performing a monologue at this point. I want to learn about your life and how you perceive and interpret this. Let me find a way for you to apply this advice in your life and tell you where NOT to apply it.
If you’ve found this ‘letter on life’ valuable, I request you to share it with your friends. So that they get to know about it too. And I can have more people reading what I write. Amen.
See ya! :)
